UP Board 10th and 12th Exam 2021 Postponed, New Dates for UPMSP High School and Inter Exams to be Announced Later

UP Board 10th and 12th Exam 2021 Postponed: As per the latest update, the Uttar Pradesh State Government has decided to postpone the upcoming UP Board 10th and 12th Exam 2021 in the light of the worsening COVID-19 situation in the state. The officials have said that new dates for the High School and Intermediate Exams of UPMSP would be notified by the board later on after a thorough review in May 2021. Going by the details available right now, UP Board Class 10 and 12 Exams 2021 have been postponed at least until 20^th May, following which the State Education Department would hold a review meet and decide on new schedule for the same.

Classroom Learning Suspended

In addition to postponement of UP Board 10^th and 12^th Exam 2021, the state government has also suspended classroom teaching for all students i.e. for Class 1 to 12, until further notice, throughout the state. This step has also been taken keeping health and safety of students in mind and to avoid gathering of students at school campuses during regular classes.

Board Exams Postponed 2^nd Time This year

This is the second time that UP Board Exams 2021 for Class 10 and 12 students has been postponed this year. Earlier, the state government had decided to postpone the UPMSP 10^th and 12^th Exam 2021 from its original date of 24^th April to 8^th May due to then upcoming UP Panchayat Elections 2021. Now, following the deteriorating situation of COVID-19 pandemic and rapidly rising Coronavirus cases in the state has forced the Education Department to reconsider the exam dates and postpone it atleast until mid-May 2021.

Decision After CBSE Board Exam Postponement / Cancellation

The decision of UPMSP to postpone the upcoming UP Board Exams 2021 comes after CBSE Board decided to cancel Class 10 exams and postpone exams for Class 12 students. On 14^th April, in a high-level meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal ‘Nishank’ and other officials from the ministry, the government took the decision to cancel / postponement CBSE Board Exams 2021. Following this, several state boards including HP, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh have decided to postpone their respective state board exams as well.
