Eligibility Criteria for AMU School Admissions 2018 –

For Class 9th

  • Students should have passed class 8th qualifying examination from any recognised school
  • The candidates must be of the age between 13 to 15 years as on March 31, 2018 .i.e.  the  date  of  Birth  of  the  applicant  must  be between April  01,  2003 to March  31, 2005 (both days inclusive) for admission session 2018- 2019

For Class 11th

  • Secondary School Certificate of AMU or class 10th or equivalent examination from any recognised school or board
  • For Science stream – Students must have obtained at least 45% marks in aggregate of English, Science (including Life Sciences) and Mathematics taken together. Also, they should be passed in English, Science and Mathematics separately

How to apply for AMU School Admission 2018 for Class 9th and SSC admissions? –

The students can apply for admissions to AMU schools in online mode only between the application dates mentioned by the University. The online application form of AMU School Admissions can be filled as mentioned below –

  1. Visit the official website of AMU admissions 2018 or amucontrollerexams.com and click on School Admissions tab
  2. There you will be required to click on Application and guide to admissions
  3. First, go through the guide for the application procedure and check eligibility details and other instructions
  4. After this, you can proceed to apply as mentioned below –

Registration: Click on ‘New User Registration’ and enter the details like Username, Set password, valid and active e-mail id, name of the student applying for admission. After this, enter the Captcha security code in the field provided and click on ‘Register’.

After you have successfully registered for AMU School Admissions, you can proceed to login with the registered username and password to fill the application form.

Filling up the application form: You need to login and fill the following details besides the registered details –

  • Alternate e-mail id (other than the already registered)
  • Aadhaar Number of the student
  • Mother’s name
  • Father’s name
  • Date of Birth
  • Gender
  • Mobile Number
  • Alternate Mobile Number
  • Correspondence address (for post purpose)
  • Permanent address including Pin Code
  • Nationality
  • Religion
  • Hostel Accomodation (if required)

After this, you need to upload documents as under –

  • Recent passport size photograph,
  • Signature and Thumb Impressions
  • Date of Birth certificate
  • Mark-sheet of qualifying examination
  • Special Category documents

Payment and form submission:  

The students need to pay application for their respective classes for AMU School Admission in online mode only. For online mode students can use Debit Card/Credit Card/ Net Banking methods. The application form for AMU School Admissions can be submitted in online mode only. However, students are advised to download and get a print copy of the submitted application form for future reference.

The application fee for AMU School Admissions is as under –

AMU School Admissions Selection Process 2018

For class 9th

The selection of students will be done on basis of Admission Test to be conducted on the specified date.

The final Merit list will be prepared on basis of –

  • 100 Marks for written entrance test
  •  25 Marks for Interview

Note: Candidates who will obtain at least 40% marks in the admission test will be called for interview test. For the candidates who qualify written test, obtaining a minimum of 40% marks in the Interview is essential to become eligible for selection. Moreover, students need to obtain 40% in the Interview test as well.
