  • Section B consists of five very short answer questions, carrying two marks each. The sample paper provides internal choices in two questions in this section.

  • Section C contains six short-answer questions of three marks each. Internal choices are provided in two questions.

  • Section D consists of four long-answer questions carrying five marks each. Students are required to show appropriate steps and mathematical reasoning while solving these questions.

  • Section E includes three case-study-based questions carrying four marks each. Each case study has three sub-parts carrying 1, 1 and 2 marks respectively.

How to Use the CBSE Class 10 Maths Standard Sample Paper 2027?

Students should first attempt the complete sample paper within the prescribed three-hour duration without referring to the solutions. After completing it, they can use the official marking scheme to check their answers and identify where marks may be lost.

The marking scheme is particularly useful for checking step-wise calculations, mathematical reasoning and the method used to arrive at an answer. Students should therefore avoid checking only the final answer and instead compare their complete solution with the official marking scheme.

Practicing the official SQP can also help students become familiar with the distribution of questions across MCQs, assertion-reason questions, short-answer questions, long-answer questions and case-study-based questions.
