CISF Notified Recruitment of 1654 Constable/ Drivers

Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) issued notification for recruitment to 1654 posts of Constable/ Driver with it. Interested male candidates should send their applications in the prescribed format till 9 April 2013.

Total vacancies: 1654 posts

The posts are temporary but likely to become permanent

 Age Limit (as on 9 April 2013):

Minimum: 21 years

Maximum: 27 years.

(Upper age relax-able by 5 years for SC / ST and by 3 years for OBC candidates)

 Pay Scale: Pay Band – 1 of Rs.5200-20200 + Grade Pay Rs.2000

 Educational Qualification: Matriculation or equivalent

 Driving Licence The candidate should have a valid driving licence for

(i) Heavy Motor Vehicle or Transport Vehicle;

(ii) Light Motor Vehicle

(iii) Motor cycle with gear

 Experience:  3 years experience of driving Heavy Motor Vehicle / Transport Vehicle or Light Motor Vehicle and Motor Cycle.

 Physical Standard:

 Eye Sight: Minimum distant vision should be 6/6 and 6/9 of both eyes without correction. Candidate should not be colour blind.

 Medical Standard: Candidate should not have knock knee, flat foot, varicose veins or squint in eyes and any other deformity.  

 Selection Procedure: Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in Eligibility Test, Physical Efficiency Test, Trade Test / Written Test, Medical Examination and Final Selection.

 Each stage will be qualifying in nature i.e. failure to qualify in any stage will result in elimination of the candidate from the recruitment process.

 Selected candidates are liable to be posted anywhere in the country according to transfer policy of the Force.

 Eligibility test

Originals of all document in respect of eligibility for the respective post will be verified by the Recruitment Board in accordance with the standards prescribed in the advertisement. Those found qualified will be put through following PET events.

 Physical Efficiency Test

(i) 800 Meters Run to be completed in 3 minutes and 15 Seconds.

(ii) 11 feet Long Jump to be cleared in 3 attempts

 (iii) 3 feet 6 inches High Jump to be cleared in 3 attempts

Note : Ex-Servicemen are exempted from PET.

Candidates who qualify PET will be put through Physical measurement and detailed verification of eligiblility Standards / documentation.

Written Test and Trade Test:

Those who qualify in the PET, physical measurement and detailed verification of eligibility standards / documentation will appear for written test and trade test.

Candidates securing minimum qualifying marks in these tests will be allowed to appear for a detailed medical examination, in order of merit, to assess their fitness for final selection. Those found medically fit will be finally selected

Selected candidates are required to undergo basic training in CISF’s RTC for which they will be informed separately through offer of appointment letter.

Selected candidates will be on probation for a period of two years which can be extended.

Candidates should come duly prepared for 8-10 days stay under their own arrangements at the Recruitment Centre. Mobile Phone and Calculator are strictly prohibited in the recruitment venue

No TA/DA will be admissible for the journey and stay.

Application Fee Details: General and OBC candidates need to pay Rs. 50 in form of crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of the Officers mentioned in Column.2 of the table below and payable at the post office mentioned in Column.3 of the table below as non-refundable application fees.

SC/ ST/ EXSM are exempted from payment of fee.

How to Apply: Interested eligible candidates should send their applications in the prescribed format along with copies of relevant / required enclosures and requisite application fees, to the concerned DIG of CISF at the addresses mentioned in the notification so as to reach the concerned office by the prescribed last date.

Envelope should be super scribed as “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CONSTABLE/DRIVER IN CISF - 2013.”
