Central Reserve Police Force invited applications from male candidates only for filling up 366 vacancies in the rank of Sub-Inspector –Civil (54 posts) and Constable-Pioneer (316 pots). Interested male candidates can send their applications till 13 February 2013.

Medical Standards:
Eye sight: Minimum distant vision should be 6 / 6 & 6 / 9 of two eyes without correction -- without wearing glasses.
Further, colour perception standard should be CP-III

Candidate must not have knock knee, flat foot, or squint in eyes and should possess high colour vision.
Application Fee: Non-refundable Application fee of Rs.50 has to be paid through crossed Indian Postal Order or Demand Draft issued in favour of ‘DIGP’ of respective application receiving Centres

Selection Procedure: Candidates found eligible in terms of eligibility conditions will be called for recruitment test. The exact date and venue of recruitment test will be intimated to the eligible candidates through admit cards by the respective application receiving centres.

The recruitment test will consist of Physical Measurement, Physical Efficiency Test (PET), Written test & Interview.
Candidates, called for recruitment test, will undergo initial physical screening test. Those found fit in the initial physical screening will be put through the PET under which they will be required to complete a run of 1.6 kms in 9 minutes. PET will be of qualifying nature and only those who qualify in the PET will be allowed to appear in the written test.
The 100 mark written test of 2 hours duration will have objective type multiple choice questions on professional Knowledge (80 marks) and General Awareness (20 marks).
The 20 mark Interview will be conducted to check personal bearing, response, aptitude and general level of intelligence etc. | The recruitment test will consist of height bar test, race completion, PST, PET, written test and Trade test.
Candidates, called for recruitment test, will have to go through the height bar. Candidates who qualify the height bar will be subjected to 1.6 km race to be completed in 9 minutes. Candidates completing the 1.6 Km race within the qualifying time of 9 minutes will be allowed to participate in further process. Original testimonial / documents of the candidates will be checked thereafter & eligible candidates will be allowed to appear for the next stage of recruitment -- Physical Standard Test (PST) during which candidates will be screened for height, chest and weight measurements by a Board.
Those found fit in the initial physical screening will be put through the PET under which they will be required to complete a run of 1.6 kms in 9 minutes. PET will be of qualifying nature and only those who qualify in the PET will be allowed to appear in the written test. No PET will be held for Ex-Servicemen. However, they will be required to pass the requisite written test & medical examination
The 100 mark written test of 2 hours duration will have at least 100 objective type multiple choice questions on General Awareness / General Knowledge, Knowledge of Elementary Mathematics, Analytical Aptitude and Ability to Observe and distinguish patterns and to test the basic knowledge of the candidate in English / Hindi.
A Trade Test -- Qualifying in Nature – will be taken by the Board of Officers by Co-opting member having sufficient knowledge for each Trade to properly assess candidates’ proficiency in respective trade |
The result of Written Test will be posted on CRPF website as well as displayed on notice boards of recruitment Centers. Selected candidates will be put through a detailed medical examination, in order of merit, to assess their fitness. Candidate finally selected for appointment shall be subjected to chest x-ray, radiology and pathology tests.
Final merit list will only be prepared after review medical examination.
All India Merit list will be drawn separately on the basis of aggregate marks obtained by a candidate.
Candidate joining post will have to undergo prescribed basic training at Training Institutions of CRPF.
In case of tie, in terms of marks, candidate with older age will be higher in merit list. In case of tie in terms of age also, candidates whose name comes first in the English alphabetical order will be kept higher in the merit list.
The questions paper will be bilingual -- set both in Hindi and English and answers must be given only in Hindi or English.

Departmental candidates of CRPF will be exempted from PET.
Department shall not be responsible for damage / injury to the individual, if any, sustained during the Recruitment Process / Physical Efficiency Test / Journey etc.
Candidates will have to bring their original testimonials / documents at the time of recruitment process.
Candidates will have to bring with them writing material for Written Test.
Candidates will have to make arrangements for stay at their own expense and no TA / DA will be paid.
Ex-Servicemen being trained soldier, only written Test and Medical fitness test to ascertain medical category will be conducted.
Ex CRPF personnel will be treated as fresh entrants and they will not be allowed any relaxation applicable to Ex-servicemen.
