Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO), Chennai issued notification inviting applications for filling up 9 JRF and SRF(P) vacancies -- 7 Junior Research Fellow (JRF)and 2 Senior Research Fellow (SRF(P))vacancies -- in the four disciplines of Mechanical engineering – 3 JRF & 1 SRF(P) posts, Electrical Engineering – 1 JRF post, Electronics & Communication Engineering – 2 JRF and 1 SRF(P)postsand Mechatronics Engineering – 1 JRF postinitially for a period of two years for its Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishments (CVRDE). Period of Fellowship: initially for two years
1. Junior Research Fellow (JRF): 7 posts
Stipend: Rs. 16000 per month
Maximum Age limit: 28 years (as on 1 December 2013)
Qualifications: BE / B. Tech. qualification.
Discipline-wise vacancy details:
i. Mechanical Engineering– 3 posts
ii. Electrical Engineering– 1 post,
iii. Electronics & Communication Engineering– 2 posts
iv. Mechatronics Engineering– 1 post
2. Senior Research Fellow (SRF(P)): 2 posts
Stipend: Rs. 18000 per month
Maximum Age limit: 32 years (as on 1 December 2013)
Qualifications: ME / M. Tech. qualification.
Discipline-wise vacancy details:
i. Mechanical Engineering–1 post,
ii. Electronics & Communication Engineering–1 SRF post
[Maximum age limit is relax-able up to 3 years for OBC category candidates and up to 5 years for SC / ST category candidates]
[Candidates with UGC/ CSIR / NET/ GATE qualification will be preferred.]
Selection Procedure: Selection will be done on the basis of candidate’s performance in the Interview.
They will be required to produce all original certificates / documents / testimonials / mark-sheets for verification at the time of Interview.
Fees: Non-refundable fee of Rs. 50 (fifty) is to be paid through a crossed Demand Draft / IPO drawn in favour of ‘Director, CVRDE’ payable at Chennai.
On the back of the DD candidates should mention their name, name of the post and serial no of the post.
SC / ST / OBC category candidates are exempted from payment of fees.
How to Apply: Interested and eligible candidates should mail their duly filled in application forms to hrd@cvrde.drdo.inwithin 15 days of publication of the notification in Employment News i.e. till 21 February 2014 as the notification was published in Employment News dated 8 February 2014 - 15 February 2014.
After mailing the application, candidates should take its print-out and send it along with fee DD / IPO and attested copies of required certificates / documents / testimonials / mark-sheets by post to ‘The Director, Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishments (CVRDE),Avadi, Chennai – 600 054’ so as to reach the concerned authority within 15 days of publication of the notification in Employment News i.e. till 21 February 2014 as the notification was published in Employment News dated 8 February 2014 - 15 February 2014.
On the envelope carrying the applications, candidates should super-scribe ‘Application for the post of (JRF / SRF (P)___ and Sl. No of the post: ____’.
