Apart from General Duty (All Arms), in all the other categories of Soldier the age limit is in between 17 ½ - 23 Yrs. Only for Soldier (General Duty) (All Arms), candidates applying for the post should be in between 17 ½ - 21 Yrs.
Details about Educational Qualification
For educational qualification, the candidates applying for Soldier post should be Class 10 pass (in case applying for Soldier (General Duty) (All Arms) post & Soldier Tradesmen (All Arms)) and Class 12 pass for other Soldier posts. For Survey Automated Cartographer (Engineers) post candidates need to be a graduate aka BA/BSc with Maths and also be 12th pass having Maths and Science as main subjects. Junior Commissioned Officer Religious Teacher (All Arms) requires Graduate in any discipline, in addition requisite qualification in his own religious denomination. Junior Commissioned Officer Catering (Army Service Corps) needs candidates to be 10+2 pass or equivalent exam and Diploma / Certificate Course of a duration of one year or more in Cookery Hotel Management and Catering Technology from a recognized University / Food Craft Institute. AICTE recognition is not mandatory. For Havildar Education (Army Education Corps), the educational qualification is Group X - MA / MSc / MCA or BA / BSc / BCA / BSc (IT) with B Ed Group Y - BSc/BA/BCA/B Sc (IT) (w/o B Ed.).
Measurements of Physical Standards in Indian Army Recruitment Rally
When it comes to physical standards that comprise of minimum height, unexpanded chest and weight, the inches and centimeters change from region to region. The country is divided into six regions namely- Western Plains Region, Eastern Plains Region, Central Region, Southern Region, Western Himalayan Region and Eastern Himalayan Region.
