Educational Qualifications for Legal Assistants
The candidate should have the degree in Law from any recognized University of India or any Institution recognized by University Grants Commission. Those who are in the Fifth year of Five Year Law Course, can also apply for the post, their final selection would be subject to their passing of the Fifth Year examination of LLB, prior to their application. The candidate should have the basic knowledge of Computer Application or Operation.

Candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs. 250/- (non-refundable) plus the usual Bank Charges through remitting the same in Current Bank Account No. 30725811785 with the State Bank of India, High Court Complex Branch, Ahmedabad, held in the name of Registrar General, High Court of Gujarat, Sola, Ahmedabad, through any of the Core Banking Service Branches of the State Bank of India using the Cash Voucher in the Special Format appended to this Advertisement, from 1 April to 15 April 2017. Application fee from any other mode shall not be accepted.
How to Apply for Legal Assistants
The candidates are required to go through the official website for the application form and register themselves on or before 15 April 2017. The Candidate is required to register with a valid mobile number or email id. Candidate should scan the photograph and signature of 10 KB respectively in JPG format for uploading the same at the relevant space available in the online application. Before submitting the application form, the candidate should ensure that all the details are correct, after confirming the application form; the application form will be treated as final. Candidate should preserve his Application Number and Confirmation Number for future reference and use, till the end of the recruitment process. Candidates are advised to take a printout of the application form and receipt for future purpose.
Selection Procedure for Legal Assistants
Candidates will be short-listed as per marks obtained in written test or viva voice test. The written test shall be conducted at Ahmedabad at the Centre(s), as may be decided by the High Court, comprising of 100 Marks, of 2 hours’ duration, consisting of 100 Marks - Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) each of 01 Mark, with Negative Marking of 0.25 Mark for each Wrong Answer. The Candidate shall download the admit card from the official website by 12 June 2017 onwards. The viva-voice test shall be of 40 Marks. Candidates shall download ‘viva-voice test e-call letter’ from the official website, during the preceding One week of the Viva-voice Test.
