IIT Patna Notified Recruitment to Faculty Posts 2015

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Patna invited application for recruitment to various faculty posts (Assistant professor, Associate Professor and Professor). The candidates eligible for the post can apply through prescribed format before 30 April 2015.

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification

1. Assistant Professor: Candidate should have a Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and at least three years' post-Ph.D. experience in teaching/research/industry.
2. Associate Professor: Candidate should have a Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of six years in teaching/research/industry of which at least three years should be at the level of Assistant Professor/Senior Scientific Officer/Senior Design Engineer or equivalent.
3. Professor: Candidate should have a Ph.D. with first class or equivalent (in terms of Grades etc.) at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of ten years of total post-Ph.D. experience in teaching/research/industry of which at least four years should be at the level of Associate Professor in any of the following: IITs, IISc Bangalore, IIMs, NITIE Mumbai and IISERs or at an equivalent level in any such industry.

• Age Limit below 32 years for Assistant Professor (on contract), below 35 years for Assistant Professor (regular)
