Indian Post Jobs Notification 2017, Indian Post invited applications for 31 posts of Postal Assistants, Postman and Others in Madhya Pradesh circle. The eligible candidates can apply for the posts through the prescribed format on or before 12 April 2017.
For Postal Assistant opening a candidate must hold an Intermediate Pass certificate. While for Sorting Assistant and Postman posts an applicant must possess a matriculation pass certificate. In addition to these academic qualifications an applicant must possess the required Sports Qualifications to compete and secure one of the seats offered by Indian Post. The DoP also acts as an agent for Government of India in discharging other services for citizens such as Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) wage disbursement and old age pension payments. With 1, 55,015 Post Offices, the DoP has the most widely distributed postal network in the world. Indian Post therefore is one of the most reputed government organizations of India. Therefore, interested candidates with higher education qualifications are also eligible and there are bonus marks for higher degree holders.
Age Limit for the candidates applying for the posts of Postal Assistant/ Sorting Assistant/ Postman posts is 18 to 27 years and age limit for the posts of MTS post is 18-25 years.
For more than 150 years, the Department of Posts (DoP) has been the backbone of the country’s communication and has played a crucial role in the country’s socio-economic development. It touches the lives of Indian citizens in many ways, delivering mails, accepting deposits under Small Savings Schemes, providing life insurance cover under Postal Life Insurance (PLI) and Rural Postal Life Insurance (RPLI) and providing retail services like bill collection, sale of forms, etc. Therefore Indian Post is an indispensable organ of the government of India.
Selection of candidates will be mode on the educational and sports qualification subject to fulfillment of other prescribed conditions.
Eligible candidates can apply to the post through the prescribed format from the official website indiapost.gov.in latest by 12 April 2017. Disciplines under which recruitment will be done are as follows Badminton, Cricket, Power Lifting, Table Tennis and Hockey.
