INFLIBNET Centre is an Autonomous Inter-University Centre (IUC) of University Grants Commission , Government of India, involved in creating infrastructure for sharing of library and information resources and services among Academic and Research Institutions. It works collaboratively with Indian university libraries to shape the future of the academic libraries in the evolving information environment.

Age Limit

• Scientist-D (Library Science): Candidate’s maximum age should be 45 years.
• Scientist-B (Computer Science): Candidate’s maximum age should be 35 years.
• Scientist-B (Library Science): Candidate’s maximum age should be 35 years.
• Scientific & Technical Officer (Library Science): Candidate’s maximum age should be 30 years.
• Assistant: Candidate’s maximum age should be 30 years.

Educational Qualification

• Scientist-D (Library Science): PhD in Library & Information Science with 4 years relevant experience or M.Lib./M.L.I.Sc. with 10 years relevant experience in a supervisory position, Evidence of innovative library services, published work and professional commitments and Experience in computerized library operations and networking or IT environment.
• Scientist-B (Computer Science): BE in Computer Science or MCA.
• Scientist-B (Library Science): MLib or MLISc or Equivalent with 1 year experience.
• Scientific & Technical Officer (Library Science): MLib or MLISc or equivalent OR B.Lib. or B.L.I.Sc. with 8 years relevant experience and Experience in computerized library operations and networking or IT environment will be preferred.
• Assistant: Graduation with 3 years experience in the field of Purchase & Stores/Accounts/Establishment in a University/Govt./Autonomous body/reputed private firm.

Pay Scale

• Scientist-D (Library Science): Rs.15600- 39100/- + GP Rs.7600/-
• Scientist-B (Computer Science): Rs.15600- 39100/- + GP Rs.5400/-
• Scientist-B (Library Science): Rs.15600- 39100/- + GP Rs.5400/-
• Scientific & Technical Officer (Library Science): Rs.9300- 34800/- + GP Rs.4600/-
• Assistant: Rs.5200- 20200/- + GP Rs.2400/

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected on the basis of written test/skill test and personal interview.
