A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) has been signed between the University Grants Commission (UGC) and DAAD (German Academic Exchange Service) in order to promote co operation in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences.
According to the MOU, the Indian side would be favoring the exchange of ten scientists from Indian Universities through UGC.
The offer is open to all subject areas in the field of Humanities and Social Sciences, and will be applicable to the faculty who are employed at University/Higher education Institution approved under Section 2(f) and 12B of UGC Act.
The programme is all set to commence in 2013. The application should be submitted with the following documents :
- A detailed CV
- A recent invitation/letter of acceptance from the German Institute/Indian Institute (for German scholars)
- List of Publications including those accepted for publication
- Patents, copyrights or software system developed (if any)
- A detailed project proposal
