National Instructional Media Institute, Chennai Notified Recruitment for 16 Various Posts 2014

National Instructional Media Institute (NIMI), Chennai invites applications from the eligible candidates fulfilling the requisite criteria for filling up the following posts of “DTP Operator and Draughtsman” on Contractual Basis for project based work and initially for a period of six months or one year at a consolidated salary. The candidates eligible for the post may apply on or before 23 May 2014.

DTP Operator: 11 (Eleven).         

Draughtsman: 05 (Five).               

Educational Qualification

• For Post 1

(i) Matriculation (10th) Passed or equivalent examination from recognised Board/ University.

(ii) NCVT certificate in COPA/ DPCS/ DTP trade with 04 years experience in Data entry and in DTP work in PC.             (OR)

(iii) Diploma in Computer Science from a recognized University or equivalent with 3 years experience in Data entry and 4 years in DTP in PC.         (OR)

(iv) Degree in Computer Application from a Recognized University or equivalent with 3 years experience in data entry and 3 years in DTP work in PC.                (OR)

(v) Any degree with PGDCA from recognized university with two years experience in data entry and 2 years in DTP work in PC.

(vi) Should possess a speed of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour for Data Entry Work.

Desirable:

Knowledge in Page Making, Photoshop, Illustrator etc .

• For Post 2  :

(i) Matriculation (10th) Passed or equivalent examination with Science and Mathematics from recognised Board/ University.

(ii) National Trade Certificate in the trade of Draughtsman Mechanical followed by 07 Years experience in using AutoCAD     (OR)

(iii) National Apprenticeship Certificate in the trade of Draughtsman Mechanical followed by 6 years experience in using AutoCAD          (OR)

(iv) Diploma in Mechanical engineering or equivalent followed by 6 years experience using AutoCAD

Age Limit & Relaxation:

Age Limit for the candidate should be between 18 to 37 years as on 01 January 2014 and Relaxation should be as per Govt. rules.

Pay Scale/ Salary:

Consolidated Salary of Rs. 15,000/- (for post 1) and Rs. 18,000/- (for post 2) Per Month.

Selection Procedure:

The short listed candidates will be selected on the basis of performance in Written Test followed by Practical/ Skill Test and finally the Interview, which will be conducted by the administration.
