From the next academic session, the Jamia Milia Islamia University will initiate nine new courses including the Arab-Islamic culture, Chinese language and Social Inclusion to name a few. The nine new courses include master degree, diploma and certificate courses in various streams.
According to the university spokesperson, “Jamia is introducing nine new courses from 2016-17 academic session including MA Politics, International and Area studies, MA in Arab-Islamic Culture, MTech Computer Engineering, MTech Electronics and Communication Engineering, MA Social Exclusion and Inclusive Policy. The other new courses include Certificate in Chinese Language (Part time), Diploma in Chinese Language (Part time), Intensive Diploma in Chinese Language and BA LLB (Hons,)”.
The BA LLB (Hons.) course will be self-financed course and there will be entrance test for admission in the diploma courses of the university for the regular and self-financed courses Polytechnic and Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The spokesperson further pointed out that for the BA programmes under the university, BA with Computer Application (BACA) will be merged and the total intake will be increased to 65.
The university has also decided to take applications from the aspiring candidates in various undergraduate, post-graduate and Diploma/Certificate programmes through online mode. The last date for applying for the posts offered by the university will be 21 April 2016. In order to keep the candidates updated about the new courses and answer their queries regarding the same, a helpline has been introduced by the concerned authority of the university.
