Railways Police Force: The ministry of railways has released a list of frequently asked questions (FAQs) for the recruitment of Railway Protection Force (RPF), which includes the most general information for the students, like eligibility criteria for the final year students, procedures to create an account, etc.
The major questions that are answered in the FAQs are “can final year students apply for the posts?" “procedure to create an account," “why Aadhar is required, and what to do if Aadhar is not available.” Read below for some of the major questions.
What is the date of opening, closing and modification of RPF Constable Application?
The opening date for applications is April 15, 2024. The closing date for submission of applications, including payment, is May 14, 2024, modification window will open only after closing date for submission of application and will be active from April 15-24, 2024 If candidates wish to modify, change or correct any details except those filled out in the ‘Create an Account’ form (including email id and mobile number) and selected RRB, they may do so by paying a modification fee of Rs.250/- (non-refundable) for each occasion.
My final results are expected after May 14, 2024. Can I apply for RPF Constable?
No, Candidates waiting for final results of prescribed educational qualifications are not eligible to apply. Candidates should possess the prescribed educational qualifications on or before the closing date of the CEN (i.e, May 14).
I have already created the account for previous recruitment. Should I create a new account?
No, Candidates who have already created an account for CEN No.01/2024 (ALP) or 02/2024 (Technicians) or RPF 01/2024 Sub-Inspector (Executive) are not required to Create an Account again. They should login using the same username and password to apply for CEN No.RPF 02/2024 Constable (Executive) as well.
How to Create an account?
If the candidates have not created an account for the above said CENs, they must first ‘Create an Account’ before proceeding to fill out the online application for this CEN by clicking on the “Apply” tab at the application link home page, then click on ‘Create an Account’. Fill in the required details in the online ‘Create an Account’ form and create a password. Passwords should be a combination of capital letters, small letters, special characters and numbers. Confirmation SMS and email will be received by the candidates after successful “Creation of Account.”
Why is Aadhaar verification required for RPF Constable, and what should I do if I don’t have Aadhaar?
Aadhaar validation is required for smooth entry at the examination centre. RRBs will not share Aadhaar details with any third party or use them for any purpose other than the objectives of this CEN. Candidates can give details of any of the following documents, if they do not have Aadhaar:
- Driving Licence
- Passport
- PAN
- Voter ID
- Employer ID (Govt.)
- School/College/University (if still studying)
The selected document in online application should be produced during the CBT, DV, ME, etc.
What should I do if I forget my password to sign into my account of RPF Constable Application?
Candidates can click on the 'Forgot Password' option on the login page. Enter either your registered email or mobile number along with your date of birth. The revised password will be sent to the candidate's registered email address. Candidates must then log in using the revised password sent to their registered email. After logging in, candidates can then create a new password by accessing the 'Change Password' option available on the upper right-hand side of the online application page.
Can I edit my application details after submission of online application before making payment?
No, candidates cannot edit details after the submission of their applications. Candidates are advised to re-check the details filled out by them in the application preview at the Preference and Preview & Submit page for correctness and further submit the application if all the information is correct since no change is permitted after submission of the application for payment. If any information is found incorrect at the application preview, they can click on the ‘Edit’ button and rectify the incorrect information at the respective page of the application module, then again preview the application for correctness and submit the application. After submission of the application, pay the requisite examination fee and complete the payment process. If a candidate wishes to modify, change or correct any details except those filled in the ‘Create an Account’ form (including their email ID and mobile number), they may do so by paying a modification fee of Rs.250/- (nonrefundable) for each occasion during the modification window from May 15 to May 24.
