SSC Stenographer Recruitment 2024: Staff Selection Commission (SSC) uploaded the notification for recruitment to the posts of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ (Group ‘B’, NonGazetted) and Stenographer Grade ‘D’ (Group ‘C’) on 26 July. The online registration is also commenced on 26 July and the last date of application will be 17 August 2024.
The recruitment will be done for 2000+ vacancies for various Ministries/Departments/Organizations including their Attached offices, Subordinate offices and Statutory bodies of the Government of India located in various States and Union Territories.
Those candidates who are 12th passed and whose age is between 18 and 30 years are eligible to apply for the SSC Stenographer Jobs 2024. However, candidates who are interested for Grade D posts, their age should be between 18 and 27 years.

SSC Steno Exam Date 2024
Successful applicants will be called for SSC Steno Exam. The exam will be conducted in two phases i.e. Phase 1: Computer Based Test (CBT) and Phase 2: Skill Test (Dictation and Transcription). The online exam is expected to be conducted in October 2024.

SSC Steno 2024 Selection Process
The selection process for SSC Stenographer involves two stages:
- Computer-Based Examination (CBE): This objective-type exam assesses general intelligence and reasoning, English language, and general awareness.
- Skill Test: Candidates who qualify the CBE will be called for a skill test to assess their stenography and typing speed.
