1. All India Institute of Medical Sciences
   Situated in New Delhi, AIIMS is known worldwide for its top-notch medical facilities. It was founded in 1956 with an aim to provide medical facilities at lower cost. Today it offers post graduate courses in more than 40 medical disciplines along with the traditional degree of MBBS.
2. Christian Medical College

   Located in Manipal, the KMC was the first private medical college in India as it came into existence in the year 1953. 5. Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research
   JPIMER was founded in 1823 in Pondicherry, which is an Indian Union Territory. Since its inception, it has maintained its position among the top ten medical colleges of India.
6. Maulana Azad Medical College
   The seeds of this medical college were sown during the Second World War to treat the victims. Today it is affiliated to the University of Delhi and is a government funded medical college.  It is associated with some of the leading Delhi hospitals.
7. Madras Medical College
   Established in 1835, Madras Medical College is one of the oldest medical colleges of the country. It offers a variety of courses including BSc Nursing and BPharma along with MBBS. 8. Lady Hardinge Medical College

Since its establishment in 1963, it admits 60 students every year for the MBBS program through a common entrance examination.
