UPSC CDS 2 Application Form 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has started accepting online applications for Combined Defence Services (CDS) at upsc.gov.in for 459 positions. All interested and eligible applicants may apply online from May 15 to June 4. Between June 5 and June 11, candidates will be able to change their application forms by paying modification fees.

The UPSC released the CDS 2 Notification 2024 PDF on its official website. The link to the online form became accessible on May 15, 2024, and the deadline for submission is June 4, 2024. The table below shows the dates for the registration process.

The UPSC CDS online application process has two stages: one-time registration and form completion. First, new users need to provide basic information. After completing the registration procedure, applicants can use their registration ID and password to submit the UPSC CDS Application Form 2024 and pay the necessary fees.

UPSC CDS 2 Apply Online Eligibility Criteria

The age limit varies as per the academy. Check the list below for academy wise age limit

(i) For IMA—Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd July, 2001 and not later than 1st July, 2006 only are eligible.

(ii) For Indian Naval Academy—Unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 02nd July, 2001 and not later than 1st July, 2006 only are eligible.

(iii) For Air Force Academy—

Age: 20 to 24 years as on 1st July, 2025, i.e., born not earlier than 2nd July, 2001 and not later than 1st July, 2005 (Upper age limit for candidates holding valid and current Commercial Pilot Licence issued by DGCA (India) is relaxable upto 26 yrs. i.e. born not earlier than 2nd July, 1999 and not later than 1st July, 2005, only are eligible. 

Note: Candidate below 25 years of age must be unmarried. Marriage is not permitted during training. Married candidates above 25 years of age are eligible to apply but during training period they will neither be provided married accommodation nor can they live with family out of the premises.

(iv) For Officers' Training Academy—(SSC Course for men) unmarried male candidates born not earlier than 2nd July, 2000 and not later than 1st July, 2006 only are eligible.

(v) For Officers' Training Academy—(SSC Women Non-Technical Course) Unmarried women, issueless widows who have not remarried and issueless divorcees (in possession of divorce documents) who have not remarried are eligible. They should have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 2000 and not later than 1st July, 2006

All the registered candidates should pay the UPSC CDS application fee either by remitting the money in any branch of SBI in cash or by using Visa/Master/Rupay Credit/Debit Card/UPI Payment, or the Internet banking facility of any bank. The category-wise UPSC CDS apply online fees as follows.

UPSC uses OTR (One Time Registration) services to facilitate applicants filing of online application forms in many recruitment/advertisements without entering their details. Applicants can update their details under various categories on OTR portal. Students can access their details anytime, anywhere, after providing their registration number and password. The steps to get the OTR Number are listed below

Step 2: On the home page - click on the new registration button.

Step 3: Provide details like the Applicant's Name, Email and mobile Number, Photograph, Signature, Gender and category, Father's Name and Mother's Name, Date of Birth

Step 4: Once you are done, click on the submit button and the registration number will be sent to your email and phone number
