UPSC CDS 2 Exam Date 2024: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Combined Defence Service (CDS) examination is scheduled to be conducted on September 1, 2024. The CDS 2 examination will be conducted in pen and paper mode. The selected will be eligible to get admissions to the Indian Military Academy, Indian Naval Academy and Air Force Academy and the duration of the exam will be 6 hours, whereas for admissions to the Officers' Training Academy the duration of the written examination will be 4 hours.

CDS Exam Timing and Schedule
The CDS 2 examination will be conducted in three shifts. Candidates should reach at the exam center 30 minutes before the start of the examination. The entry gates will be closed 10 minutes prior to the scheduled time. Check the table below for shift timings

CDS Written Exam
The written test is the first step in the recruitment procedure. The 600-mark test is made up of three distinct examinations, each worth 200 marks. A selection list for the SSB examination will be prepared based on the marks received in the written examination. The exam will consist of three papers with 200 marks each. CDS Interview for Intelligence and Personality Test
The SSB procedure consists of two stages of process - stage I and stage II. Only those candidates who clear stage I are permitted to appear for stage II. The details are:-
(a) Stage I comprises Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) tests, the Picture Perception Description Test (PP&DT). The candidates will be shortlisted based on their performance in the OIR Test and PP&DT.
(b) Stage II Comprises of Interview, Group Testing Officer Tasks, psychological Tests and the Conference. These tests are conducted over 4 days.
