Xavier School of Management (XLRI) has earned accreditation by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB International) for its flagship management and doctoral programmes. This is the second coveted international accreditation for XLRI after Association of MBAs (AMBA). XLRI received AMBA in 2015. As per the ‘India Ranking Report 2016’ released by the Human Resource Development (HRD) Ministry, XLRI has been ranks 13 among the top 100 management colleges. At present Fr E. Abraham is the director of the institute and T. V. Narendran is the current Chairman. In 2015-16, XLRI was ranked 4th among the top 91 business schools in India across private and government lines.
XLRI was founded in 1949 by a few visionary Jesuit Fathers to bring a change in the society. The institute always strives to be a management school with a difference. The institute conducts XAT (Xavier’s Aptitude Test) annually to shortlist the most deserving management aspirants and grants admission to them in their MBA Programme. The 40 acre campus is located in Jamshedpur, Jharkhand (India).
