Indian shooter Swapnil Kusale won the bronze medal in the men's 50m rifle 3P event at the Paris Olympics 2024. Kusale won the third medal for India by finishing third in the 50m rifle 3 position men's final with a total score of 451.4. With this, India has won 3 medals.

India is all set to host the multinational air exercise, 'Taranga Shakti 2024'. About 30 countries will participate in this. It will be organised in two phases. The first phase will be held from 6 August to 14 August in Sular, Tamil Nadu and the second phase will be held from 29 August to 14 September in Jodhpur.

India's legendary tennis player Rohan Bopanna has recently announced his retirement from tennis. He announced this after his exit from the Paris 2024 Olympics. Bopanna represented India at the Asian Games 2022 in Hangzhou where he won the gold medal in the mixed doubles event with Rutuja Bhosale.

Rapido is the third Indian startup to become a unicorn this year after fintech Perfios and AI upstart Krutrim. Let us tell you that Rapido, which competes with Ola and Uber, has introduced subscription-based plans for auto-rickshaw drivers on its platform instead of charging booking fees or commission on every transaction.

Lieutenant General Vikas Lakhera took charge as the new Director General of the Assam Rifles, known as the "sentinels" of the Northeast region. He will replace Lieutenant General PC Nair who retired after four decades of service. He was commissioned into 4 Sikh LI of the Indian Army on June 9, 1990.

Lieutenant General Sadhana Saxena Nair has become the first woman to be appointed Director General of Medical Services. She was the first woman to become the Principal Medical Officer of the Western Air Command. He is trained in chemical, biological, radiological and nuclear (CBRN) with the Israel Defense Forces.
