The World Hydrogen Summit 2024 is being held from May 13 to 15, 2024 in Rotterdam, Netherlands. For the first time, India has set up its own pavilion at the event. The Indian Pavilion has been set up by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India and was inaugurated by Bhupinder S., Secretary, Ministry. Bhalla did it.

India and Iran have signed a 10-year bilateral contract aimed at enhancing the operations of Chabahar Port. This decision underlines India's strategic interests in Central Asia and parts of Europe. Chabahar Port is a port in Chabahar, located in southeastern Iran, on the Gulf of Oman.

England's legendary fast bowler James Anderson has announced his retirement from international cricket. He will say goodbye to cricket after the test match against West Indies to be played at Lord's. Jimmy has 269 wickets to his name in ODIs.

Aman Sehrawat has become the first Indian male wrestler to secure a quota for the 2024 Paris Olympics. Asian champion Sehrawat secured the Paris quota in the men's 57kg freestyle category at the World Wrestling Olympic Qualifiers in Istanbul, Turkey.

The 7th edition of the India-France joint military exercise 'Shakti' is being organised at Umroi in Meghalaya. This military exercise is being conducted from 13 to 26 May 2024. The military exercise 'Shakti' is conducted between the two countries every two years. Its last edition was held in France in November 2021.

The Senior Nationals Sailing Championship 2024 is being organized at Mumbai Port. It is being organised by the Indian Naval Watermanship Training Centre (INWTC), Mumbai from 12 to 18 May 2024. Indian Navy Sailing Association (INSA) is also cooperating in this. 82 participants from 10 major sailing clubs across the country have registered for the event.

Kami Rita Sherpa has created history by climbing the world's highest peak, Mount Everest, for the 29th time. Kami Rita has become the mountaineer who has conquered Mount Everest the most number of times. He first conquered the world's highest peak in 1994. The Nepal government has issued around 400 mountaineering permits to climbers for the spring season this year, which runs from April to June.
