Haryanavi film ‘Pagdi: The Honour’ made tax free in Haryana

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar on 23 July 2015 announced that Haryanavi film ‘Pagdi: The Honour’ will be free from tax. The Chief Minister also announced a discretionary grant of 10 lakh for the film.

Pagdi: The Honour is the first Haryanvi film which has won two national awards. It bagged the title of best Haryanavi film and its actress Baljinder Kaur won best supporting actor (female) award at the 62nd National Film Awards.

Besides, the Chief Minister said that State Government would formulate a policy for the promotion of Haryanavi language films.

Directed by Rajiv Bhatia, the film showcases the Haryanvi culture in the best manner.
