Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the general secretary of the Congress and sister of Rahul Gandhi, submitted her nomination on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, for the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election. 

Ms. Vadra was accompanied by her husband, Robert Vadra, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, INC president Mallikarjun Kharge, and other party leaders from both the national and state levels.

Priyanka Gandhi’s Net Worth

While submitting her nomination for the Wayanad Lok Sabha bypoll, Priyanka Gandhi revealed her net worth in the affidavit filed as part of the process. 

Priyanka Gandhi stated in her affidavit that she has a net worth of around Rs 12 crore. She possesses immovable property valued at Rs 7.74 crore and movable assets worth around Rs 4.24 crore. Priyanka Gandhi's husband, Robert Vadra, is a businessman with a net worth of Rs 65.5 crore, which includes immovable assets valued at Rs 27.64 crore and movable assets valued at Rs 37.9 crore.

According to the information in her affidavit, Priyanka Gandhi bought property for more than Rs 1.09 crore and then spent Rs 5.05 crore on its construction and development. In her statement, Priyanka disclosed liabilities totaling more than Rs 15.75 lakh and inherited immovable assets valued at Rs 2.10 crore.

Priyanka owns silver valued at Rs 29 lakh and gold worth Rs 1.15 crore. Her husband Robert Vadra also gave her a Honda CRV, which is valued at Rs 8 lakh. Along with her brother Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka owns two plots of agricultural land in Sultanpur Mehrauli hamlet in Delhi, which is valued at Rs 2.1 crore. Additionally, Priyanka owns a Rs 5.63 crore home in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh.

Priyanka Gandhi is making her electoral debut in the Wayanad bypoll, set for November 13, with results on November 23. The seat became vacant after her brother, Rahul Gandhi, chose to represent the Raebareli constituency in Uttar Pradesh.
