Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, the general secretary of the Congress and sister of Rahul Gandhi, submitted her nomination on Wednesday, October 23, 2024, for the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election.
Ms. Vadra was accompanied by her husband, Robert Vadra, Congress leader Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the opposition in the Lok Sabha, INC president Mallikarjun Kharge, and other party leaders from both the national and state levels.

Priyanka Gandhi stated in her affidavit that she has a net worth of around Rs 12 crore. She possesses immovable property valued at Rs 7.74 crore and movable assets worth around Rs 4.24 crore. Priyanka Gandhi's husband, Robert Vadra, is a businessman with a net worth of Rs 65.5 crore, which includes immovable assets valued at Rs 27.64 crore and movable assets valued at Rs 37.9 crore.
According to the information in her affidavit, Priyanka Gandhi bought property for more than Rs 1.09 crore and then spent Rs 5.05 crore on its construction and development. In her statement, Priyanka disclosed liabilities totaling more than Rs 15.75 lakh and inherited immovable assets valued at Rs 2.10 crore.
