Shankh Air, a new regional airline, is all prepared to launch its services in India's fast-growing aviation market. Shankh Air has been approved by the Civil Aviation Ministry to operate in the country.
It will become the first scheduled airline from Uttar Pradesh. The airline plans to connect major cities across India, with Lucknow and Noida as its main hubs.

As per the official sources, priority will be given to areas with high demand but fewer direct flight options.
Shankh Air to Operate for the Next 3 Years
Shankh Air has been granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) valid for three years. The airlines is expected to improve air travel in areas with limited flight options. This will help boost regional connectivity.
However, the airline still needs clearance from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) before it can officially begin flying.

Shankh Air Headquarters
Shankh Air will be based at Noida International Airport (NIA) in Jewar and plans to connect major metro cities in India from Lucknow and Noida. The airline will begin its services with three Boeing 737-800NG aircraft.
Shankh Air's Chairman, Mr. Sharavan Kumar Vishwakarma, said, "We have had detailed talks with NIA to begin flights to various destinations and aim to create new city connections."
Shankh Air Flights Tickets and Cost
Shankh Air plans to launch its flights by the end of 2024. They have also begun hiring for different positions.
The airline has not announced ticket prices yet. However, they want to offer affordable and competitive rates.
India’s Leading Airline
Currently, IndiGo is the largest airline in India, holding over 60% of the market share. Shankh Air has recently received a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Ministry of Civil Aviation and is waiting for its airline license from the DGCA.
India's aviation market is growing quickly and has become the third-largest domestic aviation market in the world. In the fiscal year 2024, the country served 376 million passengers, showing a growth rate of 15%, according to a report by CAPA India.
