Manipur-cadre Indian Police Service (IPS) officer Neena Singh has been appointed as the first woman in the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF). Singh will continue in this post till July 31, 2024 (till retirement). The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the appointment of Intelligence Bureau officer Rahul Rasgotra as the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) chief and Anish Dayal Singh has been made the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF). .
2. (a) 'Ayodhya Dham'
The Indian Railway Conference Association has issued a statement announcing the change of name of the railway station located in Uttar Pradesh from "Ayodhya Junction" to "Ayodhya Dham". This railway station will be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 30 December. The previously allotted station code 'AY' has been retained.
3. (c) CS Rajan
The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the appointment of CS Rajan as part-time Chairman of Kotak Mahindra Bank. Rajan is currently serving as an independent director of the bank. His appointment is effective from January 1, 2024 and will last for a period of two years. CS Rajan is playing the role of independent director on the board of the bank from October 22, 2022.
4. (b) S Sundar Krishnan
Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has appointed S Sundar Krishnan as Chief Risk Officer (CRO), replacing Pratap Chandra Paikarai. Sundar Krishnan DSP has experience in services at Merrill Lynch, Credit Lyonnais Bank and Bank International Indonesia. LIC is a central public sector life insurance company headquartered in Mumbai.
5. (d) Assam
President Draupadi Murmu will attend the Golden Jubilee Celebrations of Karbi Youth Festival 2024 to be held at Taralongso, Diphu in Karbi Anglong district of Assam on January 17. The Golden Jubilee Celebration of Karbi Youth Festival 2024 will be organized on January 12-19, 2024. Karbi Youth Festival is organized annually and thousands of Karbi youth from Assam and other parts of the country participate in it.

The Cabinet chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi approved the proposal to open the Consulate General of India in Auckland, New Zealand. The opening of the Consulate General of India in Auckland will further strengthen the relations between India and New Zealand. This Consulate is likely to be opened and fully operational within a time frame of 12 months.

Lucknow city, known as the 'City of Nawabs', will be developed as India's first 'AI City'. Noida has already emerged as an IT hub, on the same lines now Tier 2 cities like Lucknow are also being developed as IT hubs. According to a report by Grand View Research, the size of the global AI market was estimated at $ 137 billion in the year 2022. UP Electronics Corporation Limited has issued Expression of Interest (EOI) for the development of AI City.
8. (c) Virat Kohli
Veteran Indian batsman and former captain of the Indian team, Virat Kohli has become the Indian batsman who has scored the most runs in the World Test Championship (WTC). This new record was achieved in the first match of the ongoing Test series against the South African cricket team. He left Indian captain Rohit Sharma behind. Rohit has so far scored 2,097 runs in 42 innings of 26 Tests in the WTC. Virat has so far scored 2101 runs in 57 innings of 35 test matches.
9. (a) INS 'Imphal'
The latest stealth guided-missile destroyer 'Imphal' has recently been inducted into the Indian Navy. It was inducted into the Navy in the presence of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh. INS 'Imphal' is the first warship to be named after a city in the north-east. It has been designed by 'Warship Design Bureau' and constructed by Mazagon Dock Limited, Mumbai.
10. (b) Deepika Padukone

This step has been taken keeping in mind the needs of consumers and to provide innovation. Techno Mobile is a Chinese mobile phone manufacturer based in Shenzhen, China. It was established in 2006.
