The Uttar Pradesh government has recently announced the establishment of six Special Education Zones (SEZs) in six districts of the state. This initiative can be seen as a big step to improve education.

SEZ: Boosting Education and Skills
This initiative will boost education and skill-building across the state. The government has also approved the Higher Education Promotion Policy-2024, which encourages more private-sector involvement, especially in underdeveloped areas.
SEZ Location
The government has chosen Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Ayodhya, Agra, Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Bundelkhand to set up Special Education Zones (SEZs). These SEZs will become centers for educational institutions at all levels, from pre-primary to university.
First Model in Lucknow
The first SEZ in Lucknow will serve as a model for the state, launching a new focus on education and skill-building. Located on 785 acres along Mohan Road, development has already started on 103 acres, and an Expression of Interest (EOI) has been issued for the project.
