Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam Sworn in as Prime Minister of Mauritius
On November 13, 2024, Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam officially assumed office as the Prime Minister of Mauritius. The swearing-in ceremony took place at State House, Réduit, where he took the Oath of Allegiance and the Oath of Office in the presence of President Prithvirajsing Roopun. He succeeded Pravind Jugnauth, who resigned from the position.
The event was attended by several distinguished figures from the political and administrative spheres.
Dr. Ramgoolam leads the Alliance du Changement, which secured a historic victory in the 2024 National Assembly Elections held on November 10. The alliance won all 60 parliamentary seats across 20 constituencies, marking the country's third-ever 60-0 electoral sweep.
