CBSE Class 12 Board Exams Cancelled in Several Middle East Countries, Alternative Evaluation to Be Announced
CBSE has cancelled the Class 12 board exams for students in several Middle Eastern countries. The exams were earlier postponed due to the prevailing situation in the region. CBSE will soon share details about the alternative evaluation method for affected students.

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE Class 12 Board Exams have been cancelled in the Middle East. The central board has announced cancellation of on-going Class 12 board examinations amid the Iran War. As per the official notice released, all the exams for CBSE- affiliated schools in countries in the region now stand cancelled. This in effect, means that no new exam dates will be announced. Alternate evaluation process will be subsequently announced at a later date.
CBSE has clarified that the 12th Board exams in Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Iran, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates are cancelled. As per the information available, over 1 lakh students appear for the CBSE Board Exams from the region. The board had earlier cancelled the Class 10 Board Exams vide its notification dated March 10.
CBSE Cancels Class 12 Exams in the Middle Eastern Countries
CBSE notification has also stated that the decision was taken after reviewing the current situation in the region and keeping in mind the safety and well-being of students, teachers and exam staff. The board has also clarified that all examinations that were to be conducted on March 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 2026, that had been postponed earlier in these countries will now stand cancelled
Thousands of students enrolled in CBSE schools across the Gulf region were scheduled to take the exams during the ongoing board examination cycle. Students and schools have been advised to regularly check the official CBSE website for updates regarding the result declaration process and further instructions.
