Himachal Pradesh to Introduce CBSE Curriculum in 151 Government Schools, Teacher Hiring Planned

The Himachal Pradesh government has decided to introduce the Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE, curriculum in 151 government schools across the state. The decision is aimed at improving the quality of education and aligning the academic structure of these schools with national standards. According to the official notification, the selected schools will gradually begin following the CBSE syllabus. The move is expected to help students gain access to a curriculum that is widely followed across India and better prepare them for national-level competitive examinations and higher education opportunities.

The government believes that adopting the CBSE system will also strengthen learning outcomes and modernise teaching practices in government schools. With the implementation of the national board curriculum, students studying in these institutions will get exposure to updated study materials and structured academic assessment patterns.

Teacher Recruitment and School Preparation

Along with the transition to the CBSE curriculum, the state government has also announced plans to recruit teachers for these schools. Adequate teaching staff will be appointed to ensure that the new curriculum is implemented smoothly and that students receive proper academic support.

Officials have also been directed to review the infrastructure and resources available in the selected schools. Necessary steps will be taken to ensure that the facilities, teaching materials, and classrooms meet the needs of the CBSE affiliation.

The initiative is part of the state government’s border plan to strengthen the public education system and make government schools more competitive and accessible. Authorities hope that the move will attract more students to these schools while offering them better academic opportunities.
