India most searched country for local students when it comes to colleges, says study

SESrush, a trend data provider has proved that India is the educational capital of local people. On Teacher’s Day, the data provider came up with the facts after conducting a study. The Education Research further added that Indian students prefer to stay in their motherland to go to college. There is also a Google search volumes show how much more interest there is in attending colleges in Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Kerala. 

The SEMrush which is the leading digital marketing toolkit for SEO, PPC and content marketing professionals worldwide found that there are about 22,200 Indian Google searches per month related to colleges in India. This is followed by a much smaller number of searches for colleges in Canada (8,100), Australia (1,900), Germany (1,300), the USA (1,300) and New Zealand (1,000)
SEMrush has over 30 tools within the software, it provides solutions for in-house marketing teams and agencies working with clients in any industry.

Rohan Ayyar, Regional Marketing Manager India told to India Today, "We can rightly say that India is one of those rare places in the world where ancient traditions and modernity coexist in harmony. With Nalanda being the world's first university, it's no surprise that local students want to continue education here".

The study also revealed that colleges are much more popular in terms of Google searches than universities. But when it comes to the last ones, India takes only the 4th place in the ranking, following Germany, Singapore, and Canada. And these choices are pretty understandable and coincide with the overall world state of education.

According to the German Academic Exchange Service, there are about 13% of international students in Germany. As for 2016-2017 data, the number of Indian students exceeded 15,000. They prefer engineering sciences, mathematics and natural sciences, law, economics, and social sciences.
