NEET UG 2026 Date: NTA to Conduct Re-Exam on June 21, Notice Released
NTA has released the new dates for the re-examination of the NEET UG Exam 2026. The new dates come after the NEET UG Exam 2026, which was held on May 3, was officially cancelled following a massive paper leak.
Following the cancellation of the NEET UG Exam 2026, which was held on May 3, 2026. The National Testing Agency, NTA, has released a formal notice confirming that the NEET UG 2026 will have a re-examination, which will now be conducted on JUNE 21, 2026. This decision was finalised after the high-level meeting between the Ministry of Education and NTA officials to restore the sanctity of the selection process after the May 3rd paper was compromised by a widespread paper leak, which led to the cancellation.

NEET 2026 Date: Important Guidelines for the JUNE 21 RE-Exam
The NTA has clarified several important points for the millions of medical aspirants who were affected by the cancellation of the NEET UG Exam 2026, which was held on May 3, 2026, which are as follows:-
- Only those candidates who were originally registered and appeared for the May 3 examination are eligible to sit for the re-exam for the NEET UG 2026.
- Candidates who appeared for the May 3, 2026, exam will not be required to pay any extra registration or examination fees for the re-conducting of the NEET UG 2025 exam.
- NTA will also issue fresh hall tickets and the exam centre details, which will be issued approximately 7 to 10 days before the exam. These will be available for download at neet.nta.nic.in
- The syllabus and exam pattern will remain unchanged. However, security protocols at centres are expected to be significantly increased.
While the CBI continues its investigation into the paper leak across various states, students are advised to ignore social media rumours and refer only to the official platform for the latest notifications.
