Noida Winter Vacation: Schools Close Until January 6 For Classes 1 to 8

Schools in Noida, Uttar Pradesh will remain closed until January 6, 2024 due to extreme cold wave and dense fog conditions prevailing in the region. Updates regarding the reopening of the schools will be made by school authorities depending on the improvement in the weather.

Noida Schools Closed: Schools in Noida, Uttar Pradesh will remain closed from today, January 3, 2024, to January 6, 2024. The schools will be closed for students for students from classes 1 to 8 due to the ongoing cold wave in the northern region of the country.

The announcement regarding the school holidays was made by the Gautam Buddha Nagar district administration. As per the notification released, classes will continue as usual for students of classes 9 to 12. Due to the extreme weather conditions, schools were closed for all classes on December 29 and 30, 2023.

The notification issued states that as per the instructions given in the public interest by the District Magistrate of Gautam Buddha Nagar, due to the extreme cold and dense fog conditions, a holiday has been announced until January 6, 2024, for schools from nursery to class 8 of all recognised boards. The order issued further mandates that the instructions should be followed as mentioned.

As per reports, the instructions issued are specifically for a few private schools where classes were conducted inspite of the holiday instructions. According to reports, the government schools are observing winter vacations until January 14 and will resume classes on January 15, 2024.

Extreme Weather Conditions in Northern India

States like Delhi are experiencing extreme cold weather conditions in the last few days. Cities in North India are witnessing a dip in the temperature and the weather department has predicted that the existing cold wave is expected to intensify in the coming days. Several states including Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, Rajasthan and other northern states have announced school holidays while classes have shifted to online mode for a few of the classes.
