Telangana School Holiday ANNOUNCED on New Year; Get Latest School News Here

Telangana School Holiday: Telangana government has announced school holidays on the New Year: January 1, 2024. New Year has also been put under the list of general holidays. Students do not need to come to school, instead, they can celebrate the new year with their family or friends. Parents or students can contact the school administration in case of any confusion or query regarding the Telangana School Holiday.

However, as an alternative to this, the authorities have cancelled the second Saturday day off in February. Apart from the holiday for New Year’s Day, the government has announced 3 more holidays in January, listed as general holidays.

Telangana School Holiday: Hyderabad Police Issues Guidelines to Party Organisers

Hyderabad police have issued instructions to the party organisers, clubs, pubs, and others for the New Year celebrations. No drugs should be consumed during celebrations. The police have cautioned that stringent measures will be taken if any use of drugs or ganja is reported. 

Also, the Telangana state government has allowed New Year Celebrations until 1.00 AM on December 31, 2023. Keeping this in mind, clubs, bars, pubs, hotels, and restaurants can remain open till 1.00 AM only. Prior permission needs to be taken before hosting any New Tear celebration party. The authorities have also issued guidelines to hail another year in a peaceful manner.

Bank holiday on New Year in Telangana

Telangana banks are likewise scheduled to be closed on New Year's Day under the Negotiable Instruments Act holiday.

Noida, Greater Noida Schools Closed on December 29, 30 

Meanwhile, Schools in Noida, UP will be closed for students from Nursery to Class 12. The holiday has been announced for two days due to extreme cold weather conditions in the region. The Gautam Buddha Nagar Administration ordered the closing of schools for 2 days.

All schools in Noida and Greater Noida will remain closed on December 29 and 30, 2023. The staff members and teachers will however be required to continue to work on these days as per the order issued by the Basic Education Officer.
