Mathematics is the most important subject of Class 12th as well as from the competitive exams perspective.
In 2015 CBSE Class 12 Mathematics Board exam left many students with tears as the difficulty level of question paper was very high. The number of Higher Order Thinking Skill (HOTS) questions was around 50% questions on higher order thinking skills (HOTS), which should have ideally been around 10% to 20%. These questions were of higher difficulty level, requiring in-depth conceptual knowledge and understanding.

Choices in the question paper:
Previous year question paper and the paper issued by CBSE shows that there will be no overall choices in the coming CBSE Class 12th Mathematics board exam.
However, an internal choice may be present for four questions of 4 marks, two questions of 5 marks.
