CPCL Engineer Recruitment 2024: Chennai Petroleum Corporation Limited (CPCL) has released notification for the recruitment of Engineer posts in Employment News February (17-23) 2024. Candidates having appeared and qualified in GATE 2023 from any one of the disciplines mentioned in the notification can apply for these positions. Interested and eligible candidates can apply online for these posts on or before March 11, 2024.
The selection shall be made through GATE 2023 Scores and Personal Interview of the shortlisted candidates for assessment of different facets of Knowledge, Skills, Attitude, Aptitude, etc.

What is the application fee for CPCL Posts?
General, EWS and OBC candidates are required to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Rs.500/- (Rupees Five Hundred only) as application fee (non-refundable) through online mode. The SC / ST / PwBD / ExSM / women candidates are exempted from payment of application fee.
What is the CPCL Posts Eligibility and Age Limit?
The eligibility criteria and age limit have been released by the examination authority. Candidates can refer to the official notification for details.
Educational Qualification:
Chemical Engineer: Candidates should have first class graduate degree in engineering /technology in chemical / petroleum / petrochemicals with not less than 60% mark in aggregate of all semesters / years.
SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to score a minimum 55% against reserved positions.

Upper age limit (as on February 01, 2024)
Candidates applying from General/EWS category should not be more than 26 years. Relaxation to candidates applying from other categories shall apply as per Government of India guidelines.

CPCL Selection Procedure
Candidates selected as Engineers /Officers will be appointed in the Pay Scale of Rs. 50,000-1,60,000 on a basic pay of Rs. 50,000/- (Rupees Fifty Thousand only) in Grade ‘A’ in Supervisory cadre, subject to medical fitness.
CPCL Remuneration
The selected candidates will be placed in the pay scale of Rs 50000–180000 at the basic pay. On successful training of the candidates for one year, the candidates will be designated as assistant managers and will be placed in the pay scale of Rs 60000–180000.
