Delhi University to Launch a Mobile App for Teachers and a Helpline for Students

Mar 27, 2014 18:21 IST

University of Delhi (DU) is going to launch a helpline -- 1065 for students, by the good worth of which they can report their complaints regarding no show of teachers in classes, if happens, as well as about any other problem they face at the college. As per a member of DU committee, the helpline will be functional from the next academic year onwards.

Not only this, DU also plans to facilitate its faculty by launching a mobile app for teachers. As per the sources, this app will help teachers to register their leave(s) instead of forwarding application to the concerned department/ Principal or giving a call for the same.

As said by a source from DU, a teacher can inform the college about his leave by updating it on the app by 9.30am. Following the request, the app will deliver a message to the college principal and to the students as well.

DU is also planning to introduce exclusive Software that will allow teachers to upload their timetables directly to the University/college websites.
