Eligibility Criteria for MTS, Bosun and Other Job

Educational Qualification:

• Assistant Supdt. of Fisheries: Masters Degree in Fisheries Science or Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries Science or Post Graduate Diploma in Fisheries failing which Master’s Degree in Marine Science/Zoology/Marine Biology from a recognized University. Knowledge of Konkani Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
• Bosun: Second Hand Fishing Mates ticket issued by Mercantile Marine Department, failing which, two years Vessel Navigation Course in the Central Institute of Fisheries Nautical and Engineering Training, Cochin, failing which, six months Fisheries Training Course and second class Master Course conducted by Captain of Ports. At least 05 years experience on a fishing vessel. Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: Secondary School Certificate Examination or Equivalent. Knowledge of Marathi.
• Fisheries Officer: Bachelor’s Degree in Fisheries Science or Post Graduate Diploma in Fisheries failing or Master’s Degree in Marine Science /Zoology from a recognized University. Knowledge of Konkani Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
• Fisheries Surveyor: Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Higher Secondary School Certificate in Science from a recognized University/ Institution. Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: Successful completion of training as recognized by Fishermen Training Centre under State Government. Knowledge of Marathi.
• L.D.C.: Higher Secondary School Certificate or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution. Should be computer literate. Knowledge of Konkani. Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi.
• Multi Tasking Staff: Passed Secondary School Certificate Examination from a recognized Board/Institution. OR Passed Course conducted by Industrial Training Institute or equivalent qualification, in relevant trade from a recognized Institution. Desirable: Knowledge of Marathi. Multitasking Skill such as knowledge of operating office machines including computers.
