The Food Corporation of India was setup under the Food Corporation Act 1964 and has played a significant role in India's success in transforming the crisis management oriented food security into a stable security system. Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Government of India, will make recruitment to the posts mentioned below on behalf of the Food Corporation of India under special dispensation given by the Government.
Selection for the posts will be based on a Written Examination which will be conducted by Staff Selection Commission. The candidates selected through this recruitment for posts in FCI will NOT, however, have the status of Central Government Civilian Employees.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
- AG-III (General): Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with proficiency in use of computers.
- AG-III (Accounts): Bachelor of Commerce from a recognized University with proficiency in use of computers.
- AG-III (Technical): Proficiency in use of Computers AND
- a) BSc in Agriculture from a recognized University OR
- b) BSc with any of the following subjects from a recognized University: Botany/ Zoology/ Bio-Technology/ Bio-Chemistry/ Microbiology/ Food Science OR
- c) B Tech/ BE in Food Science/ Food Science & Technology/ Agricultural Engineering/ Bio-Technology from a recognized University/ an institution approved by AICTE
- AG-III (Depot): Graduate Degree in any discipline from a recognized University with proficiency in use of computers
- Assistant Grade-II
- a) Degree of a recognized University with Hindi as the main subject
- b) Proficiency in English
- c) One year experience of translation from English to Hindi and vice-versa
- d) Desirable:- Post Graduate qualification in Hindi
- Typist (Hindi)
- a) Graduation or equivalent
- b) 30 words per minute speed in Hindi Typing
- c) Preference will be given to the candidates knowing by-lingual typing (English and Hindi) and Computer
Age Limit (as on 1 January 2012): Maximum 27 years (for AG-III), Maximum 28 years (for AG-II), and Maximum 25 years for Hindi Typist
Application Fee: Application fee for General/ OBC category candidate is Rs 200 and no fee will be charged from SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities/ Ex-Servicemen/ Women Candidates and FCI employees.
The fee needs to be paid in the form of SBI Challan in case of online application or by CRF Stamp in case of offline application.
Selection Procedure: The selection process will comprise of a Written Examination followed by Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) for General, Depot, Accounts and Technical Cadres and skill test for Typists. Selection for AG-II posts will be only on the basis of the written examination, CPT and skill test in typing will be of qualifying nature.
