Eligibility Criteria for Senior Scientific Officer & Director Posts 2016

Educational Qualification

• Deputy Director: At least 2nd Class Master’s Degree with 55% marks in Ancient Indian History, culture and Archaeology. Post Graduate Diploma in Archaeology from the School of Archaeology, Archaeological Survey of India, New Delhi with seven years practical experience of Archaeological Operations including excavation or exploration or conservation or preservation of monuments, sites and remains in some recognized institution or Archaeological Survey of India or State Archaeological Department. Candidates must have studied Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric Standard or Higher Education.
• Senior Scientific Officer (Toxicology): M.Sc. (at least 1st division) in Chemistry/Bio-Chemistry/ Toxicology/Forensic Science (with specialization in Forensic Chemistry/ Toxicology) or its equivalent qualification in any of the above mentioned subjects from a recognized university with three year research/analytical experience in the field of forensic Toxicology. Candidates must have studied Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric Standard or Higher Education.
• Senior Scientific Officer (NDPS): M.Sc. (at least 1st Division) in Chemistry/Forensic Science with specialization in Forensic Chemistry or equivalent qualification in any one of the above subjects with three year research/analytical experience in relevant subject. Candidates must have studied Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric Standard or Higher Education.
• Senior Scientific Officer (Biology): M.Sc. (at least 2nd Class) in Zoology/Botany/Physical Anthropology/Human Biology/Bio-Chemistry/Forensic Science with specialization in Forensic Biology or equivalent qualification in any of the above subjects with three year research & analytical experience in any of the above subject. Candidates must have studied Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric Standard or Higher Education.
• Senior Scientific Officer (Document): M.Sc. (at least 2nd Class) in Physics/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Chemistry/Forensic Science with specialization in Forensic Documents or equivalent qualification in any of the above subjects with 3 year research & analytical experience in any of the above subjects. Candidates must have studied Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric Standard or Higher Education.
• Assistant Director (NDPS): M.Sc. (1st Division) or Ph.D in Chemistry/Forensic Science with specialization in Forensic Chemistry or equivalent qualification in any of the above subjects with eight years research and analytical experience in the relevant subject/discipline. Candidates must have studied Hindi/Sanskrit up to Matric Standard or Higher Education.
