Eligibility Conditions for ICMR - NIRT, Chennai Recruitment 2019 
Educational Qualification
Data Entry Operator (Grade B)-Candidate should have Intermediate or 12th Pass in science stream from recognized board with DOEACC ‘’A’’ level from a recognized institute and /or 2 years experience in EDP work in Government, Autonomous PSU or any other recognized organization. A Speed test of not less than 8000 key depressions per hour (kdph) through speed test.
Data Entry Operator (Grade A)-Intermediate or 12thPass from recognized board. Data entry speed of 8000 key depressions per hour on computer to qualify skill test.
Scientist B (Non Medical) Bio-informatics-1st Class Master’s Degree in Bioinformatics/ Biotechnology/ Genetics/ Genomics/  Molecular  Biology/  Microbiology/  Biochemistry/  Computer science/  Information  Technology  from  a  recognized  university  with  2 years   of  independent   working   experience   with   the   development   of computational  whole  genome  sequence  data  analysis  pipeline  preferably in  the  command  line  based  operating  systems  with  various  analytic programs and tools such as Perl/Python/R-Bioconductor packages/MATLAB/Excel/etc., Or  Candidate  with  2ndclass  Master’s Degree in the above mentioned subjects must have completed Ph.D in relevant subject with the required experiences.
Project Technical Officer (Lab)-Graduate  in  Life  Sciences  from  a  recognized  university  with  five  years experience from a recognized institution   or  Master’s degree in Life Science. 
Project Technician III (Lab)-12thPass in science subjects and two years diploma in Medical Laboratory Technician or one year DMLT plus one year required experience in a recognized organization or two years laboratory experience in Govt. recognized organisation.
 

Age Limits 
Data Entry Operator (Grade B):Not exceeding 28 years
Data Entry Operator (Grade A):Not exceeding 25 years.
Scientist B (Non Medical) Bio-informatics: Not exceeding 35 years.
Project Technical Officer (Lab):Not exceeding 30 years
Project Technician III (Lab):Not exceeding 30 years.

Selection Procedure for ICMR - NIRT, Chennai Recruitment 2019
The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their performance in the Walk-In-Interview/Written Test/Typing Test(As per the posts) being organized by the selection body.
