According to students' feedback on the JEE Main January 24 Shift 1 exam, the Mathematics section was lengthy but not particularly difficult. Physics was rated as easy to moderate, while Organic Chemistry had more weightage compared to Inorganic Chemistry. Key topics covered included fluids, ray optics, rotation, work-energy-power (WEP), conic sections, and vectors in 3D, among others.

Another student described the overall difficulty level of the paper as moderate. The Mathematics section was considered challenging, while Physics and Chemistry were easy to moderate. Important topics like sequences and series, continuity, and vectors were also featured in the exam.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has issued the admit cards for the JEE Main 2025 exams set to take place on January 28, 29, and 30. NTA has released the admit cards for all shifts of Session 1. Students can download their JEE Main 2025 admit  cards for the upcoming shifts at examinationservices.nic.in.

In past four years from 2021 to 2024 there has been a significant increase in JEE Main cutoffs in every category. The last drop in the percentile cutoff was observed in year 2022 soon after COVID-19. Since then the number of applicants and percentile cutoff is rising.

The NTA portal for JEE Main 2025 Shift 2 for today are now closed at 6:00 PM. Students submitted their response and are now heading out from the exam centres.

The JEE Main 2025 shift 2 for January 23 will start at 3:00 PM sharp! Candidates are advised to reach the exam centre 45 minutes before the schedule to complete the entry on time. Make sure to check all the guidelines properly to avoid any last minute hustle.

The NTA is expected to announce the JEE Main 2025 session 1 results by February 12, 2025. Candidates can access their results by logging into the JEE Mains portal at jeemain.nta.nic.in using their application number and password or date of birth.

NTA has removed the choices from section B of every subject. Earlier there used to be 10 numerial questions out which applicants had to answer any 5. From 2025 JEE Main exam, there will be only 5 numerical questions with no choices.

Now, the candidates have logged in to their systems and started reading the questions. They will probably start with mathematics, as the major difficulty is observed in this section only.

The candidates are getting entry one-by-one and settling onto their seats. It is expected this shift will be a bit different from last two. The paper might get a little tricky to check students' preparation.

Previous year papes are effective preparation material every applicant must solve to check their exam preparation and knowledge. Students who still left to appear for the exam solve the JEE Main previous year questions and check their solutions.

Students have started taking entry to their JEE Main exam centres. They are not allowed to wear any jewellery or take any other accessories to the exam hall. Only a self-attested admit card is allowed inside the exam centre. The list of items that should avoid carrying include:

• Handkarchiefs
• Any lockets or chains
• Electronic gadgets or smartwatches
• Thermal flask
• Pen or pencil
• Rough paper

There is no such dress code for the examination, but make sure to dress with as few layers as possible.

NTA has rescheduled the JEE (Main)-2025, Session-1 Examination for Few Candidates who appeared in Examination Centre eTalent, (TC Code-40086), No.3, Belmar Estate, Nagasandra Main Rd, Bengaluru, Karnataka held on 22 January 2025 (Shift-I) due to unavoidable reason of technical snag in Examination Centre. The exam will be conducted on 28/29 January 2025. These candidates will be issued with fresh admit cards alongwith other candidates scheduled to appear on the above mentioned dates.

In the JEE Main 2025 shift 1 no questions were asked from Molecular Orbital Theory. Students got a bit disappointed as they prepared for this topic well.

• 2-3 questions were asked from current electricity
• Flux based question was asked in electrostats

Students shared that they faced questions from remote syllabus which made them a bit anxious. For example; a question from potentiometer was asked which is no longer the part of JEE Main 2025 Physics syllabus.

The students who appeared for shift 1 on January 22, 2025, for their JEE Main exam felt that the paper was very easy and the score will go beyond 150-200. They felt the mathematics section was a bit lengthy. Well, this is feedback from only a few students. The clarity will be made based on the further review and analysis.

The NTA has already released the JEE Main admit card 2025 for the initial three days of Session 1, which are 22, 23, and 24 Jan. Now the hall ticket of the rest of the three days is expected to be released on Jan 25, 2025 (Saturday).

As per the NTA JEE Main exam schedule for 2025, the morning shifts are conducted from 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon. Thus, the first shift of JEE Main 2025 will end in the next one hour.
