MBA Admissions 2016: Apply in Jammu University’s PGDBM Programme

    Jammu University has invited applications from various candidates to apply for its PG Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM) for the academic session 2016 – 17. All the interested and eligible candidates can apply through proper channel latest by 23rd May 2016.

    The University of Jammu, accredited as 'A' Grade University by National Assessment & Accreditation Council of India came into existence in 1969 vide Kashmir and Jammu Universities Act 1969 following bifurcation of the erstwhile University of Jammu and Kashmir.

    Eligibility Criteria for Admission in PGDBM Programme

    A Candidate must have Passed / Appeared in the final year of Bachelor Degree examination in any stream.

    Selection procedure for Admission in PGDBM Programme

    Successfully registered candidate is required to undertake Jammu University Entrance test (JUET) comprising of Multiple Choice Questions. JUET will be conducted on specified date at specified centres by the university authority.

    Final selection will be made on the basis of combined merit of Academic 75% and Entrance test 25%.

    How to apply for Jammu University’s PGDBM Programme

    Eligible candidate can apply online on the official website of JUET within specified time and need to pay Rs. 650 or Rs. 550 as a fee of registration through proper channel.

    Note:

    • Application fees is Rs.650 for General category and Rs.550 for SC & ST candidates.
    • Application fees will be Rs.750 for General category and Rs.650 for SC & ST candidates after the specified last date of depositing application fees.
    • Application fees will be deposited through Jammu & Kashmir Bank Challan only.

    Jammu University JUET Examination Pattern

    JUET entrance test will be of 2.5 hrs. duration. There would be a total of 150 objective type questions. Multiple choices for these questions will be available and candidates are required to choose the right answer. Each question would carry 1 mark. There will be negative marking for wrong answer of 0.25 mark each.

    150 Multiple choice questions will asked from following sections;

    A. General English 40 questions

    B. Gen. Knowledge 40 questions

    C. Reasoning 40 questions

    D. Numerical Ability 30 questions

    Admission Calendar for Jammu University’s PGDBM Programme

    Jammu University has announced the important dates for admission in its PG Diploma in Business Management (PGDBM). Some important dates are as follow;

    Seats Availability for PGDBM Programme

    There will be a total number of 45 seats. Sixty seven percent (67%) of the total seats in The Business School shall be filled in the open merit category and Thirty three percent (33%) of the total seats shall be filled in the reserved categories as per the norms and the statutes governing the PGDBM programme of the University.

    Publication of Answer Key

    The University shall publish the Answer Key pertaining to the JUET-2016 on the University Website www.juet.in Candidate/s having any doubt with respect to Answer Key / Questions of the JUET can submit lodge / register his / her complaint online at www.juet.in with supporting document / proof as per schedule given at Annexure II.

    Exam Centres for JUET – 2016

    1) Jammu 2) Kathua 3) Udhampur 4) Kishtwar 5) Bhaderwah 6) Rajouri 7) Poonch 8) Srinagar 9) Leh

    NOTE: The examination centre once opted by the candidate shall not be changed at the later stage.
