Railway Recruitment Board Vacancy for Assistant Loco Pilot 2011

Railway Recruitment Control Board (RRCB) was set up in 1998 in the Ministry of Railways (Railway Board) with the objective of information of policy in regards to recruitment of all Railway Recruitment Board (RRBs), evaluate the performance of RRB's and organise management information system. It invites applications from eligible candidates for filling up the post of Assistant Loco Pilot.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• Matriculation or its equivalent under 10+2 system and Course Completed Act, Apprentice or ITI in any of the following specific trades recognised by SCVT/ NCVT across various disciplines OR
• Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Automobile Engineering recognised by AICTE in lieu of ITI

Age Limit (as on 1 January 2012): Minimum 18 years; Maximum 30 years. Relaxation in age limit will be admissible as per the rules laid by Central Government

Pay Scale: Rs 5200- 20200; Grade Pay Rs 1900

Application Fee: Examination fee of Rs 40 needs to be paid by Unreserved/ OBC Male candidates in the form of crossed Demand Draft or crossed Indian Postal Order. No feel will be charged from Women candidates, SC/ ST/ Ex- servicemen/ Muslims/ Christians/ Sikhs/ Buddhists/ Zorastrians (Parsis) candidates. Candidates having family income below Rs 50,000 are also exempted from examination fees.

Selection Procedure: The selection procedure will comprise of written examination followed by an Aptitude Test (for candidates successful in written test). It will further be followed by document and candidature verification.
