This year, there are 166 vacancies. Salary of RBI Grade B Officer is more than rupees 60 thousand per month and it is one of the most reputed jobs in banking sector. This year there are about 166 vacancies. More details about these vacancies are given below
$ Candidates belonging to OBC category but coming in the 'Creamy Layer' are not entitled to OBC reservation. They should indicate their category as 'General (GEN)’.
^Out of 127 vacancies for Grade ‘B’ (DR)-General, 5 vacancies are reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability (PwBD) Category,
i.e. 1 vacancy for candidates of blindness and low vision; 1 vacancy for deaf and hard of hearing; 1 vacancy for locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid attack victims and muscular dystrophy; and 2 vacancies for multiple disabilities from amongst persons as detailed below in para 1 of Note for PwBD candidates.
^^Out of 22 vacancies for Grade ‘B’(DR)-DEPR, 1 vacancy is reserved for PwBD category under blindness and low vision.

RBI Grade B 2018: Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a citizen of India
- Must be a subject of Nepal
- Must be a subject of Bhutan
- Must be a Tibetan Refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 who has the intention of settling permanently in India.
- A person of Indian origin migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Uganda, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
Age Criteria:
Generally 21 years and 30 years (both age included) to apply for RBI Grade B exam 2018.
Age Relaxation:
Candidates, who belong to the reserved category will be provided relaxation in their upper age as per the rules decided by the Board.

Educational Qualification:
- Candidate must be a graduate from a recognized university or institute.
- He/Shemust have attained 60% marks in the graduation (50% for the candidates belonging to the reserved category).
- Candidates having Doctorate degree with aggregate 50% marks can also apply.
- Candidates having masters’ degree with 55% marks will be allowed to apply for the RBI Exam 2018.
- Candidates having post graduate diploma in management or Masters of Business administration can also apply for the RBI Officer Grade B exam 2018.
- Chartered Accountant (CA), Company secretary or Cost Accountant can also apply for this examination.

This year, Rs. 850/- for General and OBC category and Rs. 100/- for candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category.
