RPSC RAS Exam Pattern 2024: Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has released the notification of Rajasthan Adminsitrative Service (RAS), which is responsible for recruitment of eligible candidates for Rajasthan State Services and Rajasthan Administrative Services.

RPSC RAS Exam Pattern 2024

The RPSC RAS exam pattern consists of a three-stage selection procedure, i.e. Prelims, Mains and interview. The preliminary examination is an objective type examination that consists of subjects such as general and general science, whereas the mains examination is a descriptive paper. There will be 4 papers in mains examination and all papers are compulsory to be attempted by candidates.

RPSC RAS Exam Pattern 2024 for Prelims

The very stage of examination is the prelims examination, which will be of the objective type and consists of subjects such as literature, tradition, culture, art, history and heritage of Rajasthan, Indian history—ancient, mediaeval, and modern, geography—Indian and world geography, Indian political system, constitution and governance, etc. This stage is qualifying in nature and the marks scored in this examination are not counted while preparing the final merit list.   • The exam duration is 3 hours.
  • There will be negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer marked.

RPSC RAS Exam Pattern 2024 for Mains

The candidates who qualify prelims exam are eligible to appear for the mains exam. The number of candidates will be based on 15 times the number of total vacancies.

The candidates who will qualify the prelims exam will be eligible to appear for the mains examination. 

There will be 4 papers and all papers are compulsory to be attempted.

The marks scored in the mains examination will be considered for preparing the merit list.

RPSC Mains Exam Pattern: Paper 1

The RPSC RAS mains exam paper 1 exam consists of questions such as history and economy of the country. The RPSC RAS Mains GS 1 paper will be of 200 marks.
