South Eastern Railway issued notification announcing “Walk-in Interview” for recruitment to the post of Medical Practitioner on Full Time Contract Basis. The walk-ins will be held between 25 February 2013 and 7 March 2013.

Age Limit (as on 1 January 2013): 50 years
Upper age limit relax able by 5 years for SC / ST candidates and by 3 years for OBC candidates.
For retired Railway doctors, upper age limit is up to 65 yrs.
Place of Posting: Different stations of Chakradharpur & ADRA divisions & at Central Hospital / Garden Reach, Kolkata of South Eastern Railway
Selection Process: Willing eligible candidates should report for the “WALK-IN” interview at the above mentioned venue at 1000 hours, with an application (application format can be obtained from ‘News & Updates’ page on www.ser.indianrailways.gov.in) or one hour before the scheduled time of the interview at the places mentioned above along with original and copies of required certificates / testimonials.
Appointment will be on full time contract basis for an initial period of 1 year or less or till replaced by UPSC selected doctors, whichever is earlier.
The contract is liable to be terminated by giving two weeks notice by either side, without assigning any reason.
NOTE:
If Govt. accommodation is provided, an amount equivalent to the sum of HRA & license fee of the accommodation so provided shall be deducted from the monthly remuneration.
One set 1st class complementary Railway pass for self and family during each contractual year shall be issued after 03 months continuous service.
Daily rate of reduction from the fees for excess absence will be Rs.1560 per day in case of specialists & Rs.1313 in case of General duty full time Contract doctor.
Contract appointment shall not confer any right for regularization or absorption in the post.
