Southern Railway Recruitment 2018: 624 Vacancies for Apprentice Posts

Southern Railway Jobs Notification: Southern Railway invited applications for the post of Apprentice. The eligible candidates can apply to the post through the prescribed format on or before 21 February 2018. The minimum qualification for applying is 8^th and 10^th pass.

The candidates will be selected on the basis of merit list which will be prepared by the recruitment committee. The candidates who are applying for these posts, they are required to submit one application for all trades/units. He/She should either for Fresher, Ex. ITI category or category.

Eligibility Criteria for Apprentices Post

Educational Qualification:

For Ex-ITI Candidates:

• Fitter, Machinist, Electrician, Mechanic Diesel, MMV- 10^th pass +2 System of education or its equivalent and Passed ITI course in relevant trade in Govt. Recognized ITI & should possess NCVT Certificate.
• Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic-10th Class under 10, +2 System of education with Science (Physics and Chemistry) and Mathematics or its equivalent.
• Welder - Passed 8th Class Examination and Passed ITI course in Welder trade in Govt. Recognized ITI & should possess NCVT Certificate.
• PASAA (Programming and System Administration Assistant) - Passed 10th Class Examination under 10+2 system of educational or its equivalent and NTC issued by NCVT in the trade of COPA.

For Freshers  i.e Non-ITI Candidates

• Welder - Passed 8th Class Examination.
• Fitter - Passed 10th Std. under 10+2 system of education or its equivalent 

For Freshers i.e Non-ITI Candidates-Medical Department for Railway Hospital/Golden Rock

• Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology, Pathology) - 12th standard Pass under 10 +2 system with Physics Chemistry and Biology

Age Limit for Apprentices Posts

For Ex-ITI Candidates:

• Fitter, Machinist, Electrician, Mechanic Diesel, MMV, Refrigeration and Air-conditioning Mechanic, Welder PASAA (Programming and System Administration Assistant) – 24 years 

For Freshers  i.e Non-ITI Candidates

• Welder – 20 years
• Fitter – 22 years

For Freshers i.e Non-ITI Candidates-Medical Department for Railway Hospital/Golden Rock

• Medical Laboratory Technician (Radiology, Pathology) – 22 years
