SSC GD Recruitment Notification 2025 OUT for 39481 Vacancies at ssc.gov.in: Check Online Application Link, Constable Exam Details

The Staff Selection Commission is inviting applications for recruitment to the post of Constable. Candidates can register for this exam on or before 14 October.

The Physical Efficiency Test (PET) consists of the following Race. Candidates have to clear the race within the following time limits:

SSC has released the notification for recruitment to the post of Constable on the official website i.e. ssc.gov.in for a total of 39481 Vacancies.

The salary will be paid to selected candidates in the range of Rs. 21,700 to Rs. 69,100 per month, as per the 7th Pay Commission. This will include allowances and additional pay. The in-hand salary will approximately be Rs. 23,527 per month after deducting around Rs. 2,369 for contributory funds like CGHS and CGEGIS. 

The Salary for the post of Sepoy will be under Pay Level -1 i.e. Rs 18,000 to 56,900.

Candidates belonging to the general category will be required to pay Rs. 100.- while women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.

The vacancies of GD Constable in SSF will be filled on All India basis whereas vacancies in all other CAPFs will be filled as per the vacancies available in various States/ UTs. In addition, vacancies are earmarked for the Border Guarding Districts and Militancy/ Naxal affected Districts which are reserved for the candidates of these districts only.

No, candidates appearing in the 10th exam are not eligible to apply for SSC GD Recruitment. Only candidates having 10th-passed certificate can register themselves for the exam.

While filling up the online Application Form, applicants are required to upload the scanned colour passport-size photograph in JPEG format of 20 KB to 50 KB.

Yes, there will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer in the exam. So, candidates should mark their carefully.

• The Computer-based examination will consist of 80 objective-type paper questions of 2 marks each. The questions will be based on General Intelligence and Reasoning, GK and General Awareness, Maths, and Hindi/Science.
• Each question will be of 2 marks
• The duration of the exam is 1 hour

The last date for submitting application will be notified in the notification PDF. The candidates will be able to check the application start as well last date once the PDF is released.

The exam will be Computer Examination (CBE) will be conducted in 13 Regional Languages viz. Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Konkani, Malayalam, Manipuri, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.

For 2024, the commission has notified more than 40000 vacancies for the GD Constable Posts. This year we can also expect the 20000 to 40000 vacancies.

1. For One-time Registration, click on ‘Register Now’ link provided in ‘Login’ Section
2. Now, enter Personal Details, create password, add  Nationality, Address, Education, Declaration and other details.
3. Login using your  Registration-Number and password
4. Click on 'Apply' link given in “

6. Enter all the asked details
7. Upload your photograph and signature
8. Complete your declaration by clicking on the “I agree” check box and filling up the captcha code. On verification of the correctness of your application data asvisible in Preview, proceed with “Submit Application”.
9. Proceed to make fee payment if you are not exempted from payment of fee.

The selection of the candidates will be done on the basis of:

1. Computer Based Examination
2. Physical Standard Test and Physical Endurance Test
3. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME)
