SSC JE Notification 2024 Released at ssc.gov.in: Check Eligibility, Important Dates and Other Details

SSC JE Recruitment Notification 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) published the notification for the recruitment of Junior Engineers (JE) on March 28, 2024, as per the SSC Exam Calendar. Online registrations was commenced on the same day. Candidates can apply online until April 18. 

Last year, the commission had notified a total of 966 vacancies for BRO, CPWD, CWC, Farakka Barrage Project, Military Engineer Services, Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways and for National Technical Research Organization. This year, the same number of vacancies are expected in the said departments.

Indian nationals who possess Diploma, B.E., B.Tech., AMIE (Part A & Part B), B.Sc (Engg.), M.E., M. Tech. and M. Sc (Engg.) in Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering can apply for the exam. It is to be noted that the age of the candidates should not be more than 30 years.

The notification is released today on the official website. It's important to note that the notification release date might be subject to change. The candidates are advised to keep a track of the official website for the latest updates.

SSC JE Exam Date 2024

Applicants will be called to appear for SSC JE Paper 1. They will be able to check the exam dates once the notification is released. The exam will be conducted in May or June 2024. The final selection and allocation of Organization/Office will be made based on the performance of candidates in Paper 1 and Paper 2 and the preference of Organization/Office exercised by them.

 Also, candidates will be selected for final selection. After this, the salary of Level-6 (Rs 35400-112400 / -) of the pay matrix of the 7th Central Pay Commission will be given.
